Episode 08：Frieren the Slayer
Episode Summary：
Frieren was arrested and put into the dungeon for trying to fire magic at Lügner, a demon who is currently going for peace talks with Graf Granat. Lügner considers Frieren a threat, and Draht is attempting to take Frieren’s life. Meanwhile, Fern and Stark are making attempts to rescue Frieren.

📖Synopsis：
After ten long years of adventuring, the mage Frieren alongside the hero Himmel and his party members has defeated the Demon Lord and brought peace to the world.
As an elf that can live for more than a thousand years, Frieren went to travel alone, with a promise that she would reunite with Himmel and the others later on.
50 years later, Frieren visited Himmel. However, in contrast to her being no different from how she was 50 years ago, Himmel has aged a lot and doesn’t have long to live.
A short time later, after seeing Himmel passes away before her own eyes, she finally realizes that she has never made any effort to “understand people.”
With that regret, Frieren heads on a journey to “understand people.”
On her journey, she will meet with all kinds of people and deal with all kinds of things.

At 1:40 Frieren mutilates and kills Draft with magic or an ability that we have yet to see her perform again throughout the rest of the anime. She didn't even summon her staff, or created a magic circle first. It didn't even LOOK like she cast a spell, there's no magical visual or sound effect, and it looked like an invisible force. Its like she just she could do it innately and instantly. I think the only similar attack we see is what the Frieren clone did to Fern in Episode 26 where an invisible force crushing was crushing her and destroyed her staff. I have a theory that its the same ability or spell, but the only reason Fern wasn't decapitated was because was too far away to be in lethal range so the clone slammed her into the wall instead.

Frieren, bc of her long life means she can be perceived as a bit aloof and callous towards humans who have shorter life-spans. But that also means she does👏not👏 FORGET👏, esp when it comes to demons and their nature.

Little detail lost in translation. Frieren says "one down" but uses "ippiki/一匹" which is the counter for animals, not humanoids. Because she doesn't consider demons as humanoid, rather as wild animals.
She didn't even used her staff to concentrate her magic she is so badass!!!
