Rain alone is enough of a companion for wholesomeness. She might just be the best girl. I dont like elves or beastfolk and tsunderes are far too common for the main girl. The loli in this anime is shy, reserved but very caring. She blushes very subtly when the MC held her small hand. Rain has the "must protecc" vibe all over her.

I have a feeling that Thunder Pike's leader was a good guy back then. He became this way due to blinding himself with wealth (greed) and fame (pride). Added factors such as preferring to take advice from a barbarian and an aqua than his childhood friend really changes himself.
this is the MC that has the real balls to stand on his feet, knowing his old comrades just using him the whole time. reminds me of certain recent anime with similar plot if u may ask :). Love this kind of MC.

I disagree with this weird plot progression. Its absurd to let a c rank party handle the supposedly most dangerous dungeon in this anime’s world . Bad plot.

Achromatic darkness was introduced and hyped from the first second of the first episode , and is equivalent to being the main plotpoint around which the story revolves.
These guys have been to what? Two dungeons? And are barely c rank?
But now they’ve basically chronocheated their way into the end of the story? Feels like BS.
Yuke is a refreshing MC for this kind of genre but him being assigned to a dungeon that requires government approval is not.. does the kingdom not have a special OPS like other anime does or Thunder Pike is just being put in their place and that we're just gonna see other power crept characters that should've handled this quest appear later?
