But Maria and the other girls have no value for their freedom but yearns for luxuries
It is not one who values what he has but the ones who don't.
i laughed a lot in this, it's comedy. But it's really hard to ignore the serious aspects, the romance is not romantic at all, it's almost stepping to obsession.
i hope it becomes lighthearted again, it's just fun to watch because the mc is a fun person.

There are two recommendations I feel should be given for a seires like this.
If you like Clark AS HE IS. Read stuff like Shape of Us (R18+ WANRING though). The difference is that Clark is abusive MENTALY. While the crush is abusive Physically. But both MCs accept their abusers and make excuses for their terrible lovers, and allow their MLs to be as selfish as they are.
The MAJOR difference is that the writer of Shape of Us embraces the ML is an ass whole. (And does punish him in some way withbhow short all of his relationships are) Which makes reading it a BIT less infuriating. While this series tries it's best to pretend Clark is a GREAT guy, and that Letty is a complete EVIL of a person to reject him.
BUT if you want a WELL written version of Clark… Watch "I May be a Guild receptionist." The guys A BIT pushy to want her to be in his guild. But he doesn't FORCE MC. He RESPECTS her decision, stays a reasonable distance from her. And actually shows a good amount of worry and care for her.
AND he respects her choices. Putting HER WANTS AND NEEDS over his own. Something Clark only does IF it benefits him. But for the most part Clark is super selfish.
It’s really bad if not the female lead trying to downplay her own suffering and people around her is gaslighting the fl is right all along
People it's called fiction for a reason. Why are they scribing philosophy here 🤷♀️
Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one uncomfortable how much the prince pushes his feelings to her. Like dude, she's not responsible for your feelings.
I'm thinking of dropping this anime, so can someone tell me who has already read the manga or LN that this gets good and that they start acknowledging Leticia's feelings of living a normal life and not wanting to marry the Prince, and that the Prince is actually a good guy not some creep and accepts Leticia's wish of a peaceful life in a village, living alone and maybe with a not so creepy Prince?

If the prince was not conventionally attractive and did all of these actions towards her, Letty will never fall for him, like ever, and instead will be creeped out and disgusted. But Letty will eventually fall for him, partly because he is attractive even when his behaviors are disgusting now. Just saying.
I hope the mangaka of this wrote this as like satire for ancient shoujo romance cause of the numerous red flag. otherwise this is just really a psychological thriller thinly veiled as romance comedy

This is basically pg-13 dark romance trope. Someone commented in a prev episode why the Prince is acting like that but imaging myself in Letty's shoes and if this is the real world, I'd probably go crazy with basically no one on my side and being told in so many terms that i'm being ungrateful and even cruel because Im not giving the prince a chance.
I feel so uncomfortable watching this, Leticia is simply being treated as a tool.. i know it's completely fictional but this kind of behaviour doesn't make sense

I have never cried this much the way i cried for letty. Did this anime author never thought before doing this to her. No one ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CARES ABOUT HER. I really hope Leticia get's the ending she chose herself. Seeing her struggle to attain that freedom she sought in her childhood; that aspect of her is quite enamoring! She still shines even when the world doesn't go her way. Can't really take my eyes of such a spirited FL
