honestly the witch cult was heavily outmatched in this season. Just Reinhard alone would be enough to defeat all of them, on top of that there were all royal candidates and all their knights. The witch cult had no chance from the start and they were extremely lucky that the battle lasted so long.
Unironically if Reinhard started fighting someone other than Regulus at first and left Regulus for the end, then he could defeat any other cult member in fraction of a second

I used to think this just being a bland shounen op didn’t fit but that’s kinda what this season is, watching all the characters enter fights one time before the next arc where the cast is stripped back and subaru experiences absurd deaths.

Out of all 3 seasons this is the best introduction in my opinion
