After graduating from high school, Natsuko Hirose starts her career as an animator. Her talent quickly flourishes, and she makes her debut as a director in no time. This anime really reminds me of Kingdom Hearts in some way, it has light (Soul Future) that protects each city and Voids come to take those lights…
Much like how Forces of Light & Darkness in Kingdom Hearts fight each other and Darkness already succeeded in taking out nearly all the lights.
And at one point, Darkness indeed prevailed and killed all of Sora's friends…Until he pulled a Deus ex machina (Power of Waking)
After watching the latest episode of Zenshu (episode 8) and with the Bird's revelation regarding the demise of the characters of Tale of Perishing being already set in stone, maybe Natsuko will have to prep for "What comes after" Maybe when the Ultimate Void appears and think of a way out to save the world from the cruel end that awaits them.
